Fuel prices up
again on Saba
SABA--Motorists on Saba will have to pay more at the pump as of Monday morning. The Executive Council announced Friday afternoon by public notices that as of Monday the price for gasoline will be NAf. 2,60 per litre and NAf. 2,49 for diesel.
Two weeks ago, the price of fuel was increased as well, which took many customers by surprise due to the fact that there was no prior notification. Monday’s price increase did not come as a surprise because oil prices are skyrocketing worldwide.
Thus far, neither Commissioner of Economic Affairs Chris Johnson nor the Executive Council has given an official statement regarding the high cost of fuel, which is also affecting the cost of living on the island.
