Technical problems cause
disruption in water supply

PHILIPSBURG--As residents try to cope with the inconsistencies of local utilities company GEBE with respect to the supply of water, several areas were feeling water woes again yesterday, this time because of “technical problems.”

According to a press release by GEBE, “On Monday afternoon around 3:00pm GEBE technicians discovered some technical problems in the water distribution network, which were disrupting the water supply to a number of districts.”

The districts affected were: Madame Estate, Arch Road, St. Peters, Betty’s Estate, Mary’s Fancy, Saunders, Philipsburg and Bush Road.

Apologising for the inconvenience caused, the release stated that technicians were working diligently to limit the duration of the water disruption.
