MAC vandalised
during Christmas

BETTY’S ESTATE--Unknown youngsters believed to members of gangs living in the community surrounding the Methodist Agogic Centre (MAC) Reverend John A. Gumbs Campus in Betty’s Estate may be responsible for the destruction and defacing of the school’s property during the Christmas holiday.

The damage was reported to be extensive, with graffiti sprayed on all the walls and windows of the four buildings containing classrooms. The cost of repainting, repairs and replacing the damaged water cooler, doors and so on is said to be substantial.

Concerned parents are calling on the MAC school board and director to take urgent action to safeguard and protect its properties, as no security arrangements are in place for the school, which makes it a target for acts of vandalism.
