MARIGOT--The Gendarmerie has detained one of two suspects said to be involved in the rape of a 16-year-old girl in Concordia back in November, a release issued over the Christmas period stated.
The suspect was arrested on December 18 and transferred to Guadeloupe where he faces charges of theft and rape, and with threatening use of a firearm to intimidate the victims.
The second suspect is still being sought by the Gendarmerie.
On the night of November 27, the two suspects broke into a family house in Concordia and tied up senior members of the family before taking turns to rape the elder of the two daughters.
